About Us

About Us

PALTmed Texas is an official chapter of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed), the only medical specialty society representing the community of medical directors, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other practitioners working in the various post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) settings. Our members work in skilled nursing facilities, long-term care and assisted living communities, CCRCs, home care, hospice, PACE programs, and other settings.

We are committed to supporting healthcare professionals, providers, and stakeholders within our region who are focused on improving the quality of care for aging populations and those with complex medical needs.

Our mission aligns with PALTmed’s national objectives: to enhance the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based care, promote collaboration across care teams, and advocate for policies that benefit post-acute and long-term care settings. By connecting members with valuable resources, educational programs, networking opportunities, and advocacy efforts, we aim to empower our healthcare community to deliver the highest standards of care.
